EDA announces agreement with Dyslexia and Literacy International (D&LI)

The European Dyslexia Association (EDA) announces an agreement to take over resources and materials, principally the free online courses in English and French, from Dyslexia and Literacy International (D&LI). Soon these courses will be available only from the EDA web site.

Dyslexia and Literacy International had wanted for some time to transfer its resources to a larger body with an international outlook and solid base of membership.

The European Dyslexia Association has guaranteed to host these courses, maintain them, and continue to offer them completely free of charge. The transition will take time as D&LI want to maintain continuity, especially to Francophone countries which utilize its materials extensively.

This agreement does not apply to the MOOC (Massive open online course) on the Coursera platform, which is the intellectual property of the University of London.

Partly for that reason, D&LI will maintain a skeleton web site until and if London considers a change of participating body.

EDA would like to sincerely thank D&LI for all of their valuable work over several decades and we are honoured to continue the legacy of that work in hosting these free online courses.
