How to get there

The campus of the Vienna University College of Teacher Education is located in the 10th district of Vienna. The campus consists of the following buildings: House 1 (e.g. campus library, refectory), House 2 (e.g. practical schools), House 4 (e.g. rectorate, refectory, administration) and House 5. The event will take place in House 1 in the Hedy Lamarr Hall.

By plane

If you fly to Vienna airport there are several options to choose from getting to the city center.

If you take the train from the airport, please see your options on how to get to the event from train stations in the “By train” column.

By train

Depending on which station you arrive to you have the following options on how to get to the event:

Arriving at Westbahnhof:

Underground line U6 in the direction of Siebenhirten to Meidlung station (exit Schedifkaplatz)
Bus line 15A in the direction of Enkplatz U/Grillgasse to Daumegasse (see overview map on foot)

Arriving at the main train station:

U-Bahn line U1 in the direction of Oberlaa to Altes Landgut
Bus line 15A in the direction of Meidling Hauptstraße to Daumegasse

Coming from the Westautobahn (A1):

Steinhäusl junction on the A21 in the direction of Wien Süd-Ost/Graz
Direction Vienna/Wien Zentrum/Favoriten/Altmannsdorf
keep left in the direction of A23 Vienna/Favoriten
Exit in the direction of Favoriten
at the roundabout, exit Grenzackerstraße
at the first traffic light after the roundabout, turn right into Daumegasse

Coming from the Südautobahn (A2):

Direction Vienna/Wien Zentrum/Favoriten/Altmannsdorf
keep left in the direction of A23 Vienna/Favoriten
Exit in the direction of Favoriten
at the roundabout, exit Grenzackerstraße
at the first traffic light after the roundabout, turn right into Daumegasse

Coming from the Ostautobahn (A4):

Prater junction on the A2 in the direction of Graz
Exit in the direction of Favoriten
at the roundabout, exit Grenzackerstraße
at the first traffic light after the roundabout, turn right into Daumegasse

In Favoriten, a comprehensive short-term parking zone has been set up. It is valid from Monday to Friday (weekdays) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. At these times, parking is subject to a fee (parking ticket).

Parking is not possible on the grounds of the Vienna University College of Teacher Education.
