Linnaeus University is located in the town of Växjö, in the middle of southern Sweden.

The area is called "Småland" (small countys) and is well known for its many lakes and spruce forests. It is also the house of "The kingdom of crystal" which is a world famous region with glass work.

It is approx. 2.5 hours drive from Copenhagen, 5 hours from Stockholm and 3 hours from Gothenburg.

The Autumn Seminars takes place in the building N, hall "Ikea salen" at: Linnaeus University, George Lückligs väg, Växjö

p.s. The Google map points to the same building, just another hall. IKEA-salen is in the east corner of the same building.

Direct flight from Amsterdam

There is a direct flight from Schiphol, Amsterdam to Växjö with  KLM 5 days a week. Costs around €100 per trip. Check availabilities  (Search for VXO as the airport code)

Fly to Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen airport (Kastrup) is just a 2.5 hours train or car ride from Växjö and a convinient way to get to Växjö. Read more about the train/car options to the right.

If you choose to take the direkt train it is litterally door-to-door from the airport to downtown Växjö with the hotels in a walking distance.

Fly to Arlanda, Stockholm

If you like to see the Swedish Capitol you can take a flight to Arlanda, Stockholm. From there you can fly directly to Växjö from Bromma City Airport or take the train (3,5 hours) to Växjö from the central station.

Fly to Landvetter, Gothenburg

Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden. From there you can go by train to Växjö.

The airport buses takes you to downtown Gothenburg with the central station.

Trains from Stockholm

There are two types of trains from Stockholm: The high speed train (X-2000): 3,5 hours, or the regular one (4,5 hours).

Straight from the Arrival hall at Kastrup Airport there are trains that takes you directly to Växjö Station.

From the Central Station in Gothenburg there are trains going directly to Växjö.

If you come by ferry to Karlskrona, there's both buses and trains to take to Växjö (about an hour).

Why not rent a car and drive to Växjö?

Whether you go by your own car or rent one there are really good roads through Sweden that will take you to Växjö without any problems.
